From the clear waters of the Greek protected landscape

Our salt comes from a protected landscape area around Mesolonghi, near the port city in western Greece. The water flows through an extensive system of salt lagoons, which  naturally filter the water. Under the influence of sunlight, the water gradually evaporates and a salt crust is formed, from which our salt is also produced. This traditional method is considered a more environmentally friendly alternative to industrial salt mining.

The finest crushed, natural crystals of Vilgain Sea Salt contain only one ingredient - sea salt. Nothing is added, no anti-caking agents, unnecessary additives and not even iodine. Sea salt contains iodine naturally without the need to add anything.
