Demi glace is a thick, rich sauce that is used mainly in French cuisine to naturally enhance the flavor of food. Professional chefs adore it because it boasts a rich, intense and unmistakable flavor. It is an exceptionally good base for soups and sauces, stews and gravy, and functions as a universal ingredient for flavoring any dish.
A thick broth made only from local organic ingredients ... and from those that really have their place there.For 1 liter of the final product, at least 1.1 kg of beef and veal and bones from local farms in Belgium are used. It is cooked for 48-72 hours, along with twice-concentrated tomato puree, butter, flour, vegetables and herbs. That's all. There is no salt, flavor enhancers or preservatives in the composition. The vegetables used are also of high quality from local Belgian farms, where they are also processed by hand.
Vilgain Demi Glace gives dishes a deeper and richer flavor and is very popular among gourmets. It is rich in natural substances from bones, broth and aromatic herbs, which can contribute to improving the taste and nutrition value of dishes. If you take Demi Glace straight from the fridge, it will have a thick, gelatinous consistency, which will gradually soften with heat.

Recommendations for preparation:
- We recommend 1 tablespoon of demi glace to baste the meat (the dosage is only indicative and depends on your taste preferences).
- The consistency is greatly influenced by temperature. When stored in the refrigerator, it may temporarily acquire a syrupy to jelly-like consistency.
