Vilgain Organic Whole Grain Spelt Couscous is a complex carbohydrate side dish made from organic whole grain spelt semolina. Because it is made from nutritionally rich spelt, it has several advantages over regular wheat couscous. It contains more fiber and protein, which keeps you full for longer. The whole grain version of couscous also preserves many valuable micronutrients that are otherwise lost when peeling the grains.

Couscous is an absolutely great ingredient for people who are always in a hurry or don't enjoy spending time in the kitchen. It is ready in 5 minutes and there is no need to cook. Just pour hot water over it in a ratio of 1:1.5–2 (couscous: water/broth) and leave it covered to stand.

You can use it as a side dish, make a “risotto” out of it, add it to salads or use it as a sweet base for a casserole.
