Chicory root syrup is an exception in many ways compared to other syrups. It is made using a gentle method from chicory root, has a pleasantly sweet taste and a thick consistency. Compared to sugar or other syrups, it is suitable for everyday sweetening and dieting and does not contain any added sweeteners or dyes. It contains only 6% sugar (making it suitable for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes), a lot of fiber and a low glycemic index, so that there will be no rapid increase in blood sugar after consuming it. Thanks to this, you won't be hungry again in a while. The high content of prebiotic fiber (inulin) benefits the digestive system. Inulin is not absorbed in the small intestine, but travels to the large intestine, where it serves as a prebiotic - food for beneficial bacteria.
