Peruvian watercress grows in the foothills of the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of up to 4,000 m above sea level. It is one of the few plants that can survive in such inhospitable conditions. It was already used by the ancient Incas for its beneficial effects on physical and mental health. The root of the plant is further processed, either in fresh or dried form.
Black maca differs from others in color, taste, aroma and some properties. It boasts a very specific, slightly sweet taste. Similar to yellow and red maca, it supports fertility and sexual health, and is also very popular for its effects on endurance.
