The Denree company is associated with the very beginnings of organic food in Germany. It was founded in 1974 by a young enthusiast, Thomas Greim, who is still the owner and director of the company today. He started with four organic dairy products that he drove to Munich in his used old Opel. The milk came from farmers in the area who had been farming biodynamically since the early 1970s. Greim found a dairy that processed the organic milk into drinking milk, yogurt, sour milk and kefir. In Munich, these products were then purchased by several health food stores.

Today, Dennree is the leading specialist retailer of organic products in the German-speaking region. Their goal is to make organic food widely available and offer customers a wide range of products. Dennree connects producers, retailers and customers and currently offers a comprehensive range of more than 14,000 items, all exclusively from organic farming.
