Organic tomatoes grown under the Turkish sun have been sliced, salted with sea salt and sun-dried. Sun-dried tomatoes add a Mediterranean flavour to dishes and are used in salads, starters, spreads, on pizza, to enhance tomato sauces, soups and vegetable dishes. They can also be served with herbs, garlic and olive oil and are an interesting ingredient in a marinade for pickled cheese. For easier processing, pour hot water over the tomatoes, let them swell briefly and squeeze lightly. Be careful when adding salt to the resulting dish - dried tomatoes are already quite salty, so it is better to taste first and then add salt if necessary.
