Fine dark chocolate with small pieces of candied ginger, produced in Switzerland using the traditional long conching method, which fully reveals the initially hidden rich taste of cocoa and gives the chocolate a delicate and smooth consistency. It is sweetened with dried rapadura cane juice and natural Cristallino cane sugar. It goes great with a cup of tea in winter. The product comes from the HAND IN HAND fair trade project. Fair trade guarantees fair remuneration to farmers from developing countries and prohibits slave or child labor. First-class cocoa is purchased from the Conacado farmers' association in the Dominican Republic and El Ceibo in Bolivia. The cocoa fruit is harvested by hand, the beans are fermented on site and then dried under the tropical sun. The beans are roasted in Switzerland in the traditional way. The dried rapadura cane juice is produced in Planeta Verde in Brazil. The cane juice is gently concentrated by slow evaporation without removing the molasses.
